i am currently on race scrubs, but for my next rear tyre, i would prefer something designed for the road
i might be going up to scotland at some point, maybe even twice
it seems a shame to flatten another race scrub on all the straight roads getting up there, but then a dual compound might mean i still have a bit of grip for the nice roads in the north west of scotland
I have heard the roads up there use rougher more grippy tarmac and wear out roads a bit quicker than down here, so i dont want to go up with whats left of my tyre, and then need another one when im up there.
I dont ride very hard, but i do make little errors now and then where its useful to have a bit of extra grip, so im not sure i should go for hard tyres.
I quite often ride in the cold and in rain, so I guess a road tyre would be better than what I have and although i do the occasional long trip, a lot of the time i just ride a short distance on cold tyres.
any suggestions ?
id probably be thinking part worns, so popular tyres that might be readily available, would be good. ____________________ colin1 is officially faster than god |
