A bit of a boring one, so apologies in advance.

Me and my mate are heading down from Newcastle tomorrow to see 300 at the IMAX (at the Printworks?)

Where is a good place to park? Obviously as nearby as possible. We are leaving here at 12 and the show starts at 2, so it's a long shot we will make it (it's 140 miles Laughing ) but there's another showing at 16.30.

Has anyone been to the IMAX before? Do we have to book in advance?

Karma to the first one to give me a (useful) answer.

Thumbs Up

Bike or Car?

Been to the IMAX at the printworks many times, and no you don't usually have to book. Plenty of parking nearby but be warned, daytime parking in the City Centre is horrendously expensive!

We usually park in the NCP opposite the cathedral, or at the MEN Arena underground. I've linked to a Multimap of the general area, printworks is on the corner of Corporation St and Withy Grove on the map so as you can see loads of parking nearby.

Nice one ta. We'll be going by car. I like to have a few drinks before a film, so this way I can have a couple of cans on the way there.

So how big is the screen in comparrison to normal screens? Do you end up with a sore neck? Does it really improve films that much seeing it in Giant-o-rama(tm)

Sweet. I leave work in 46 minutes, quick shower and change, then it's off to the pictures. Bit of a long day just to see a film - but it beats being at work.
