Nice one mate!...

...if you're worried about stalling, then just make sure that you always have a little bit of throttle open before you're ready to release the clutch...and if in doubt, pull the clutch in!

...if you stall, don't panic, just keep the clutch in and restart the engine...do your checks and then pull away!

...I wasn't really even told much about the finer points of clutch control until my 2nd day of DAS...stuff like clutch-slipping with the rear brake sounds weird, but can be very useful...

I think that it would be good for you to hook up with some mates (possibly from here!) and go for a few rideouts...it helps if you go riding with some more experienced riders, although you need to choose them wisely...some ppl are more tolerant of learners than others...

counter steering, you mean?...yeah, it's a pretty neat trick, and essential for going round bends quickly...

...you'll probably do it sub-conciously after a while...

Hi

The idea is that when you lean a bike over, you do this by steering slightly in the "wrong" direction. The causes the bike to "fall over" in the direction you want to turn, and the shape of the tyres does the rest. Deliberatly counter steering makes the bike "fall over" more quickly

All the best

Keith
