I've always been a fan of ALL druidi designed replicas, but the Nakano ones in particular - I laid eyes on the Quantum F with the moon eyes back in 2000, then the design got continually updated.

To finally the one that i've got

The moon eyes happens to relate to the All-Japan championship boys- they like have a club, and coincidentally, they all wore arai.
I also like Edward's stars and stripes and haga's fire and ice

Even when Aldo Drudi does retro, there's something about how he executes his designs which i admire as a work of art as well as a helmet. You have an Arai, and THEN you have a Drudi Designed lid.

Put it this way, look at every one of the lids he designs and you'll notice some common themes, stars, curves gradients and often thick and well defined lines and boundaries. His colours are bright and vibrant and its beneficial in many ways. Mine actually has a pearlescent finish to it which you don't really see in the pictures. The level of finishing is astounding.
Every artist/designer has their style - look at RichArt lids and you can tell from a distance that it's a Richart lid - likewise with Starline designed lids and YF designed. Drudi's style suits my tastes the most and having one of his replica lids on ANY brand of lid hits the spot - it's a shame shoei don't deal with any other designers other than YF (kato rep & ukawa rep). I'd be happy paying a premium for a druid lid.

another one of Drudi's.
For me, something about wearing a drudi lid makes it feel special. It's NOT just a corsair for me, i mean i could wear a similar Arai Corsair in plain, but it would feel different.
You know how when you listen to certain songs, you have associations in your mind to certain memories, places, events, journeys, well, for me, seeing a Druidi rep instantly conjures up connotations as to how the lid might feel to wear OR how it may taste like if it were personified as an edible food. I see my lid, see the vibrant colours and think - sour but sweet apples. I see Haga's and i think - Screwdriver ice cream (vanilla with the chewing gum). So enough of my psychological ramblings.
I like mine because.... I've not seen every man and his dog wear one! It's expensive new to begin with and was imported in very limited numbers to stores - i aint seen any in 4 J&S's i went to and Arai 5* dealers, so when gericke had them, i snapped it up. I also like Nakano as a person and on the track. ____________________ The Tot 2019 Z1000SX - 2007 R1
