Anyone know the pipe diameter of the GS500? Just before it meets the exhaust...

What size slip-on would I need if I was to hack the OE pipe off?

Thanks,

T

I was just thinking maybe it's easier to find a slipon that will fit without having to bother with the link pipe?

Bugger...

There's a Vance and Hines full system... But there's no UK suppliers from what I can see...

The laser system costs £330 which I'm reluctant to spend.

And there's a predator one for the same price!

Just come back from a ride, and there's oil on the left toe of my boot :'(

No, I reconnected the left hand coil that I disconnected taking the tank off, I disconnected the right hand one accidentally putting the tank back ON.

I am fully aware that I'm a nobber Embarassed

Aye, I sprayed some wynns carb cleaner down the throats of the carbs with the airbox off and seems to have made some difference

Fuck still won't idle properly tho

Was quite funny actually because I revved it a bit and the carbs went ACHOO and spat out loads of 'spit' all over the bike... Hahaha

well you getting there,
so you think you still have issues with the choke plunger???
you know that you can reach under the carbs while the bike is running and adjust the idle on the fly.
i sometimes have to do it on mine if the weather is overly hot or cold,
when at the lights or what ever

Yeah I know how to do idle with me gloves on at lights, hahah!

I sprayed the carb bodies and choke mechanism with the carb cleaner too (It says to on the tin) and the choke moves freely now, I can reach under the bike and close the choke manually anyway.

What's weird is that if I go to traffic lights etc, the revs dip under 900 and acts like it's going to die, then eventually does, but sometimes if I stop and restart its back at 1200 fine...
