Hi

Due to an ongoing wrist/nerve problem in both arms I'm going to be changing my ZX6R for something more upright in the next month or so. Additionally I'd like to get some levers which offer more adjustability and are shorter so I can use just the two fingers to change gear (i.e. my index and middle finger - my biggest problem is the nerve running down from the elbow to the little and ring finger).

So, they have to be functional and not just 'bling'. Can anyone make any suggestions or recommendations?

Much appreciated Thumbs Up

Depends on the bike (not clear if for current or new one) look at levers for the makers other bikes. My Honda didn't have an adjustable clutch lever but found one from the VFR (searched owners clubs/forums/sites) was a direct replacement.

Only hassle is it's silver and the brake is black. Doesn't worry me though, it makes the bike mine and I'm not a slave to tart (besides, could get it powder coated black if I get my ass in gear).

I hope you find the shorter levers and get your problem sorted.

Thumbs Up

Can you not use two fingers as it is? Pazo do short adjustable levers I believe.
Have you looked at getting some higher bars for the zx6? You can get some bars that swivel to a higher position, but will also swivel back down for sportier stuff.

I'd be tempted to have a play with some old clutch levers (maybe blag a few broken ones if you can to play with) and possibly look at one of the clutch lighrtening kit thingies.

It'll be for the new bike (Z1000, Speed Triple or light damaged sports bike with fairings removed, Renthals etc.). But...

Hadn't thought about modifying the ZX6 (other than how the lever is positioned) so it'd be worth looking into. My troubles started around the same time I got the Ninja, so on some level it has come to symbolise my troubles...hence why I'm thinking of getting something different aka a 'new start'.

Unfortunately I also have have quite small hands so, on the ninja, a full four finger extension is needed to clutch with the long lever. I'm hoping a small lever will help sort this too.

Along a similar theme here, whilst Pazzo do very nice short levers, they charge the earth for them, is there a company that do similar levers, but don't charge as much?

Not for the quality and adjustably, CRG levers cost a bit more but are the dogs bollocks especially the folding levers.
