Clutch or Gearbox?

Got bike out this morn, bloody thing wont change up Shocked

Goes into 1st fine, can get neutral back, but can only get second if I spin the backwheel and dont clutch. Checked the cable tension and linkage, but thats as far as my knowledge goes.

ps gear box oil only about 2k old

Any suggestions Crying or Very sad

Is the engine running when you try this?

Bike gearboxes are sequential, so need to 'settle' before changing up, to do this the engine needs to be running.

Just my first impression from reading your post, the engines off.

Think it is sorted, although the oil level looked ok through the viewing window, I topped it up to max, this seem to sort it out.

Must have just been sitting too long and no oil on the clutch. Took it a wee run and all seems fine now. Thumbs Up
