Aprilia SX50 cost me £2400! getting it on the 14th may Very Happy Very Happy

My CBT is in 2 weeks on 'Friday 13th' though Shocked, im not supisticious luckily. I've got to keep it in good knick because it's 2-stroke and don't want to lose too much value or wreck the engine.

Any tips pn clutch control for me? im doing my CBT on an automatic so my dad is going to teach me how to change gears down our road (very quite road)

Thankyou, JJ

just find your biting point with a very slow release of the clutch and practise just stopping and starting.

There was a video on youtube but the guy who did it got his account banned.

gl with your cbt (take ur licence and the sheet of paper that comes with it with you. i forgot mine Embarassed ) and enjoy your bike looks nice from what i have seen on google kinda like the mx50 Thumbs Up

Good luck with the new bike. Thumbs Up ( is it a scooter? )
Is there any reason why you're not doing the CBT on a geared bike ?

All you need to do is feel what the bike is doing, if it feels like its struggling to move, or its jumping it means you are either not giving it enough throttle or you need to pull in the clutch a little bit more.

Its all practice, I didn't get taught gears on my cbt, my dad taught me how to do them up at the back of the airbase by me, then let me loose. I worked them out eventually, much easier than I thought they'd be.

Good luck.

Urm its a 50cc but not a scooter, it's a super-motard bike just 50cc though. The reason im not doing my CBT on a geared bike is because the only place near me only does automatics Sad

My dads been riding for 30 years so im confident he can teach me anyway. Only down side to the bike is that it's a kick-start but shouldnt be a problem once i learn.

Thanks for the vid Stelmer, shows you how simple it really is, cant wait Very Happy

i brought brand new because at all the second hand ones i looked at had all been razzed around and the engines were in a complete state.

I've got to go to college on it every day though so if it's new i know where it's been. Also might keep it for 2 years and my mum mite have it after that.

I do agree that it's way too much money but you can't get many well made 50cc's for cheaper and when im 17 ill take my 125 course and just fit it out with a 90cc bore kit or something. Smile
