you said you had a big kawasaki crosser. how did you find the tyers. the 650 is not really an off road bike so what were the tyres like, could you get more road orientated ones for it? Was there much of a choice of tyres?

I killed it before I had to get new tyres Sad... it had some hardish commuting/touringy tyres on so they weren't that great. I was looking at getting some some supermoto/wheels & tyres, but 'proper' supermoto wheels are quite expensive... it'd probably be cheaper just to nick the wheels from a sports bike.... and there's all the hassle with the brakes (which were shit) etc.
As far as grip goes they were allright and slid in a controlled fashion unintentionally a few times on slightly slimey roads. When I was trying to slide them supermoto styley, they were a little bumpy, but not unpredictable. However this was probably becasue I hadn't realised you were supposed to knock it *down* a gear or two rather than rev the engine more!
