Changing ignition barrel on ZX7R

My key is stuck in the lock and after days of wiggling i've decided to pick up a new barrel. So....How do you get them off? Is it a case of stripping the front end to remove the top yoke then drilling it out or can you get a special tool for the job?

Unless someone's taken it off in the past it will be held on with shear bolts which need to be drilled out.
