You will struggle to find a difference between the two; it's like saying what is better? - petrol from morrisons or tescos.
I stick with Castrol 2T, since it is readily available, and has been recommended to me by many people.

Hey guys i have bought the Carlube 2-Stroke oil XL, it says it's good for motorcycles but it cost 1.99 for 500ml so i don't think it's that good, is it worth even using it or it can cause some problems to the bike?

Depends on the bike. I use £2.99 stuff in my dt125 and it's been fine but i wouldn't use it in a highly strung sports 2T.

For my nsr 125 i use ELF 2t motoring which is 5.75 for a liter bottle. Seems expensive but i dont want to risk it. I was reccomened to buy oil for over £5.

I always used the Motul stuff in my Aprilia RS125 and never had any problems. As long as you stick to a decent brand then I reckon you will be okay. Its the dead cheap £1 for 10 litres kind of crap that I would advise you steer clear of.

bloody hell i didnt know you could get 2smoke oil that cheep dont use it! it will be like water!!! only use fully synth!!!!

i pay £12.60 for a litre bottle of castrol TTS and i wouldnt get anything else! (or though im tempted to try as i could save myself a few hundred quid a year) but really its not the expensive, a bottle last me 4 tanks of fuel which is about 400 miles odd! and for the power difference over a 4T its worth every penny!

i had a 125 do 13.000 miles on TTS without a rebuild!

Yarri please buy better oil as you will be on here in a few weeks/days time asking why my bike has stoped working and i need a full rebuild can any 1 help Razz a NSR is a hightune 2T and needs every good thing it gets! or BANG!

cheers

My TZR always favoured Silkolene. It smoked like an Indian sending smoke signals with Castrol.

Apart from that, I dunno. Question

I use shell semi synth on my NSR125, 20L tubs works out at £4.75 per litre. Which is cheaper than the castrol super TT mineral oil.

Used to run my RGV on Silkolene Comp 2. Thumbs Up

I see the price hasn't really gone up since I used to buy it.
Had mine between 1989 - 1991 (Christ, was it really THAT long ago Shocked ).

https://www.intobikes.co.uk/products?detail=product&id=000786

Probably not really required for a 125 though.
