anybody changed out the tailpiece of a vfr/rvf to something more modern and slimer. ( bulky original style is begining to look dated now )

was thinking about the cbr 600 or even the cbr 150. like to see if anybody else has done it and what result they got.

obviously i don't want to end up with a frankenstein look Sad

cheers

Tyga do a kit for £285 search 'tyga performance' in google It's a british based website aswell so no long waiting times.

A custom job would be possible but IMO the Tyga kit is spot on Thumbs Up

They mostly sell to brits in Britain, and they are British Ex Pats. But they are based in Thailand.

i changed the rear of my vfr nc30 to the rc211v rear from tyga. Needed to change the subframe and remount the rest of the bits n bobs and youll need a racing coolant bottle which are about £11 from tyga also. Rear brake reservoir can be changed but is optional and advised by them (probably so they can get more money out of you). Anyways it was easy enough to do. When it came it was from america and i had paid through paypal via their website and it got to mine in about a week which wasnt too bad, it said it could take up to 3 weeks however.

oh and just to add (in my opinion) it wasnt worth the time/money/wait to fit the rear end. It looked good but by the time it was painted etc it was just not cost effective. If you want it to look really good i reckon youd have to go the whole hog and get the full tyga race fairings, but again i dont think its worth the money for the end result. hope this helps Thumbs Up

I reckon the original tail looks good anyway, the NC30/35 is a timeless design imho.

As mentioned, Tyga produce an aftermarket bodywork kit. In my eyes, it is different, but not a good looking or as good quality as the Honda original fairings. Also, a right bitch to take on and off in comparison.

There is another company called Asia Trading, but I haven't heard anything consistently complimentary about their products.

There's a couple of members over at 400gb who've successfully grafted on a CBR600RR seat unit. Looks alot better than the Tyga effort I think.
