About 4 weeks ago my headlight blew, then about a week later my tail light blew. Now my headlight only allows high beam but no low beam or parkign light.
What could cause this to keep happening? Im using the bulbs that it states in the manuals.
Or am I just being unlucky with the bloody things.

Is there any other signs I should look out for while riding to see if it is the battery?

First time my headlight bulb blew was around 4 weeks ago. So this new bulb has been in since then.
I will check everything again in morning as my eyes were bloody tired looking at it in garage earlier. So I may have made a stupid mistake when looking at the bulb when taking it out. ____________________ CBT - Passed - 14/07/2006 Theory - Passed - 19/08/2006 A2 test - Passed -19/07/2007

o right.
Wont hurt to check the earths also. Are you sure that your rear light and brake light are both working?
When it happened to me, only my brake light worked and not
my rear light. So at night i was quite invisible.
As i said though check that all the lights are working, and earths and if they are all ok, then start looking at other things. Like kickstart said, battery etc.
best of luck

Yeh what you just said about the rearlight happend to me last time! though about a week later for some reason
But I pulled over tonight and swore my head off about the headlight and checked the rearlight just to make sure and everything was working on that fine.
I'll check bulbs, battery fluid level tomorrow and will get back to you. Thanks for ya help ____________________ CBT - Passed - 14/07/2006 Theory - Passed - 19/08/2006 A2 test - Passed -19/07/2007

Right...I've looked at the bike this morning, theres actually nothing wrong with any of th bulbs (yes, im a blind bastard).
Checked the battery...seems fine, the fluid is on the upper level line.
Thought I'd check the fuse as well and nothing wrong with that either. OOO how fun
Any other ideas to what it could be? I've already been told about the regulator, how easy are they to replace?
EDIT: Well I've just looked over the bike again just incase something else was missed while looking earlier, and found this disconnected wire:
Any ideas to what it should be connected to, I've looked over the wiring diagram but it didn't help much coz of the crap quality of it.

Found nothing on the bike that it could possibly connect to ____________________ CBT - Passed - 14/07/2006 Theory - Passed - 19/08/2006 A2 test - Passed -19/07/2007
