So a mate and myself set out this morning at about 11am for a run up the coast, the weather was a bit poo this morning with all the haze about but could have been a lot worse.
Instead of taking the old boring route of the Larne Line we ventured down through the coast side villages. Just past a little place we caught up with a group of bikes that were to say the least, not hanging around. We actually thought it was a Bikesafe group as one had a hi-vis on and they were doing silly speeds . The group had a GSX1400, Z750, Hornet 900 and a CBR600rr. Ryan and I being the ghostriders we are ( ) decided to keep up with them. The only one that was making any effort was the 600rr. He wasn't the quickest at the corners but was good fun trying to match him on the straights.
Anyway we went on up the road to be greeted by police on most of the route. Seen 2 traffic bikes, a marked car and an unmarked car, so we kept the speed down a good bit and had most of our fun on the twisties.
Finally, after a few breaks we reached Cushendun and pulled in for a pish where my dodgy photography skills came into action...

... then my mate noticed his bike was on the centre stand for the pictures....tart

Not long after we were on our way up the Torr Head scenic route which has some of the scariest roads in the country The worst thing is when a car is coming the other direction but the views up those parts are absolutley stunning. The only thing I didn't like was the amount of grit that was on most of the corners which the Z (me really) didn't get on with at all. Less sheep up that route compared to the route over hills which can be either a good or a bad thing whatever way you look at it
We drove through a little harbour town, Ballintoy if I remember correctly . Coming out of the car park was a Gixxser 1000 and and another hyper-sport which I didn't quite catch. This GSX-R was mental, the guy had one of those integrated tail lights with the indicators built in which looked the dogs as well as having no plate... good luck with that one if you get stopped mate He must have pulled about 15 wheelies in 3 miles.
So we let those boys carry on with their deathwish and we called into the rope bridge at Carrick-A-Reide. £3.75 to walk over a rope bridge? I think I would want them to pay me that to walk over it so that was quickly knocked on the head. I'm suprised they didn't charge me for taking photos

Shortly after his trousers were round his ankles caused by the girl behind...

Being tight fisted, we jumped back on the bikes and toured upto Portrush. I wondered why the mate wanted to go here so much He spent over an hour in here...

Agreeing that my seat wasn't the most comfortable in the world after that journey we decided enough was enough and headed down towards home again. Took a few random turns and got lost which was interesting
Stopped in Cullybackey to acknowledge that we had killed one of every known species of fly known to man...
