Date you need to renew Tax or SORN, judging by the date it's giving me on my bike.

OK thanks - just got my bike from dealers but not got paper work through yet. It says further down when I fill my reg in that sorn is not needed so must be taxed - but where is my tax disc Confused

I'll be ringing robspeed tomorrow. Thanks.

Dealers obviously don't have to pay road tax on bikes.

I'm fairly certain that they also don't have to SORN them. When a dealer gets a bike, the DVLA know because of the V5 change, they then hold off on the taxing and sorning until they're notified of a new owner.

As soon as a new owner gets the bike, i.e. you, you have to either sorn or tax it if it doesn't already have tax.
