Speed Camera/Fine Crap again......

Perhaps we need a whole section on Speeding Fines. This is basically a rant post.

I got a nice little present in the post this morning......

NOTICE OF INTENDED PROSECUTION

Speed: 43 MPH


hmmm....retraced my activities and it fitted in with a visit to a Chiropractor last week. I was in my car. Didnt notice any speed cameras, but I was in a small town not really familiar to me.

Decided to revisit the crime today.....and a car flashed me and waved...alerting me to summat, about 200 yards up the road there it was...... a hidden police van. with a camera up against the back window. it was hidden behind a transit van, but far enough back to let its snoopy, bastard camera get a shot, the week before.

I am not trying to get out of it, (But am open to ideas, its the first time I have been caught by one of the vans) Yes, I am more than likely guilty.....not exactly broke any land speed records though. It just fucks me off.

I've had a few sp30's over the years, since the fixed yellow box camera's have been introduced.... its always for just a few miles over the speed limit. Makes me wish I had something a little more spectacular. Currently have an sp30 on my licence. I suppose you could say, I never learn.

Just wanted to vent the fact that I think the blokes sat in the back of their scummy, skanky, little police van are slimy, sneaky, wankpots...and I hope they choke on their pot noodles or whatever they're having for their lunch.

Was this 43 in a 30 or 43 in a 40?
If it's the former then I'm glad you got caught, to be quite honest. My mate lost most of the use in his right leg because someone thought it was OK to do 40 in a 30.

Those transits piss me off and all, though.

Yes I just admitted I more than likely was doing 43 in a 30...didnt know it was a 30 though, no sign.......... wasnt particulary built up or anything. It wasnt intentional.

and....no the cop van wasnt clearly marked , it was hidden....thats what the rant is all about.

check the local speed camera partnership websites daily they often list where the cameras will be and at what time, MEN does it and its quite good. Or choose routes where it isn't possible to park camera vans, some routes near Chorley are very thin narrow twisty NSL (they really shouldn't be NSL) blind corner routes , never any cops there,

This raises an interesting question ,

in a democracy if everybody/many does something then it generally it should become acceptable in life , which poses the point that we really do live in a assigned dictatorship (My Law professor Manchester University 200X).

say 1945 and the Spivs where the Labour government of the time sought to have absolute control over the people by restricting food and goods. Most people bought things from black marketeers , even government MPs did it, the Labour dream of Absolute total control over your citizens fell apart.

just me ranting above, in a true democratic society where "everybody does it" it should be legalised
