More computer problems. For some reason my computer won’t display certain web sites, this one for example, Google, Remax, Paypal, certain parts of Auto/Biketrader saying the page cannot be found as if the modem wasn’t plugged in.

It also won’t open linked web pages or jpeg/bitmap files or video files saying that security settings won’t allow me. Tried to change them but for some reason it still won’t let me access what I want.

Any suggestions how to fix this? With an average 8 posts a day in BCF I can’t afford to not have access to here in my house!!

Oh and another thing, the Windows Firewall keeps turning itself off most days just after I access the internet for no apparent reason??

I would run the usual spyware/malware/virus programs to try and remove any spyware etc.

Then I would install Firefox.

Are you behind a router?

Try with another pc to determine if the issue is not with your ISP, perhaps a DNS issue.

if the issue resolves then its either your pc/ firewall.

if not either isp/firewall/router

Recently done a Spyware check, will do another tonight.

Not using a router, and don't have another PC knocking about to try either.

It just happen all by itself the other night. Working fine, clicked Google....nothing....rebooted Modem, and more of the same.
