Cleaning carbs on GSXR400...do it myself??

Rode my newly acquired GSXR400 for the first time yesterday.

It's been stood, with maybe a couple of startups, for about 7 months.

I think the carbs need cleaning (accelerates ok to begin with then revs 'die' before kicking in again jerkily - like something is blocked {jets?} )

I did some searching on carbs on here & 400greybike and got lots of info. Mainly how the carbs are VERY sensitive on it and I'll likely need to source 4 different types of tiny rubber o rings from 3 different places, float bowl gaskets from suzuki, blah blah.

Now, I'm fairly confident on doing stuff on bikes (replaced front brake system on CBR125 with no drama), and ideally do want to do it myself.

But I'm very short on spare time, and want to get on riding the bike rather than swearing at sheared phillips bolt heads!

Also, by the time i've bought carb cleaner, an impact driver, the gaskets, and the oversize packs of O rings the cost will have added up.

So my question is, should I just see how much a local garage would charge to clean the carbs for me?

Unless you've done it before, carbs off on a GK73 is a twat. The best way to do it is leave the airbox attached and take it all off as one assembly. Once the airbox rubbers have aged it's nearly impossible to get them back on with the carbs on the bike. Throttle cable off at twist grip, choke cable off at carbs.

The carbs themselves are ok if you work methodically....i strip one at a time, and have four plastic trays, one for the guts of each carb. Clean each set of guts, then reassemble one at a time. CV diaphragms are sometimes difficult to re - seat once they get older too, but you do need to check them for cracks / splits.
