Hi my zxr400 is a bit worse for wear and requires a good service, the kawasaki place down in rawtenstall wanted an extra £100 on top of their regular service price because they hadn't serviced the bike before and because of it's age... even if nothing extra is required of the service?! This seems unreasonable to me.

It's an L3 and needs a bit of work chain tension, clutch, brakes adjusting etc and its running abit rough.

....anyways can anyone recommend a place in the northwest who won't charge over the odds and do a good job? (preferably near oldham/royton)

Also, an unrelated question if i may... I recently got 3 points whilst driving my car, am i to let my motorbike insurance know of these 3 points?

-stu

With regards to your points yes in short.

Basically you've got 3 points on your license which consists of car and bike entitlements. If you lose your license whilst driving either bike or car, you lose your entitlement to both. But on the plus side you only need to retake one to get both licenses back as far as I'm aware.

Unfortunately I'm not familiar with that area so can't help you on the servicing issue sorry Confused

I do know of a (mobile) Kawasaki specialist but we're possibly a bit far away from you. If you don't find anywhere let me know and I'll pass his number on anyway just in case.
