I want one. 2 questions:

1) If you have one, where did you get it?

2) Did you take your 'normal' size or one smaller (I've heard that from ppl)

TA!

I got mine from TT Motorcycles in Bristol try (www.ttmotocycles.com) I beleive they do a mail order service, but unless you are sure of the size you want, then it might be better to try and find a Lazer distributor near you.

Oh, and I bought mine a size smaller then normal, and the fit has loosened a fair bit!

That's what I wanted to hear!

I've just gone for a brand new one on ebay that a girl's trying to sell cos it doesn't fit her - and it's a size smaller than I usually take, so should be 'bout right Smile

What the hey, I can always sell it if it doesn't fit. After all, my search for a stockist is turning up a big blank, the hassle of selling it is gonna be less than the hassle of finding one of the damn things!

No worries babe. They use a morpho system which molds the helmet to ur heed so u need the size down. They creak for the 1st few times when you put it on but that goes. Mine fits perfectly now.
I know you'll enjoy seeing other riders squint when you flip down the sun visor.... I do!!!

Ours suffered quite a lot from losening fit (on my head anyway) and my one has had to go back as the flimsy plastic visor was faulty (water got inbetween the two layers and it has taken them ages to sort it) but I guess if the person has had it a while it may have 'bedded in'. I had to get a small size and my head is not small. They are also noisy (but what flip up helment isnt?

I personally like the revolution helmet thing but I dont know if I could recommend them.

I've tried quite a few other modulars and found this to be the best. I prefer the noise so I can listen to my bike! I missed that when I borrowed a Shoei for a few weeks. You can always use plugs:)
Bad luck about the visor, I thought theyd've just changed it?
I had to get a size smaller too. Kinda glad in a way. Helmets always bed themselves in and at-least you know you're getting a custom fit:)

Personally the noise has never bothered me but I find that some people are very concerned about it. I remember talking to a woman once who was going through helmets like a mad thing as she kept taking them back as the were 'too noisy'. I dont think her dream 'noisless' helment existed. I havent been riding long and I found that when I tried ear plugs it freeked me as it took all the familiar senstation of noise away and gave me a lack of judgment.

As for the visor - yes you would have thought they would have sorted it by now - In the meantime I have had to buy another helmet. - never mind its a very shiny helmet!

The girl who's selling it has only tried it on twice so it's a virgin helmet, but from what you say about squishing the lining I've probably got the right size. My current lid is feeling a bit loose at speed - never bothered me on the scoot (obviously) but it does feel like it could do with being a little tighter when you get the wind going.

But in all honesty, I just want to look like Darth Vader Cool

A few years back PB tested some helmets on a CBR600, with the microphone for a noise meter in the riders ear. At 100mph the noise varied from 105db up to 120db (in other words from about 8 times to about 13 times noisier than a bike exhaust is allowed to be)

Wearing ear plugs adds about 20mph to the comfy cruising speed on the Bandit

All the best

I am worried about the long term effect of noise on the ears and I do try and perswade the hippy to wear ear plugs and I intend to start wearing them but the first time I tried I really felt dangerous - especcially through town - as if one of my senses had just dissapeared. Perhaps I should start with just wearing one?!

I like the noise a little - makes things alive which is why I liked the lazer.

Hi

Try different makes of earplugs and find some that work for you. I landed up getting some of the ones that are moulded to your ear. These are not quite as good as the foam ones are when they work properly, but I have great problems with the foam ones coming out of place. They rarely work for more than about 30 minutes. The moulded ones stay in place very well

All the best
