I came out to the bike this morning to find one of the mini indicators hanging down by the wires as its been pulled off. Yesterday I had to shout at a pain in the ass boy of about 7 years old because he was throwing his football at the car and bike. This particular boy is always well known in the area for causing damage to peoples property. Ive also got the bike on cctv incase something like this happens so I know its this boy. Normally I'd go and give the dad a beating, but unfortunately this piece of scum is a true little bastard and there is no father. So some suggestions please on what to do with him to make sure he doesnt do this again, Ive got some ideas of my own on how to deal with him, but before I do I thought i'd see if anyone comes up with something original

electric fence? Police? Talk to his mum? If none of those work, there's always the good old air rifle.

BB Gun Thumbs Up

Thinking of investing in one myself.
Around here can get quiet rough - The kids in my block of flats are ok, they told us about when this other kid were throwing sticks at our car. Dad kidly replyed 'tell him do it again and ill rip his balls off Laughing

Then I noticed a trolley creeping ever so close to the bike so I moved. Thinking of getting CCTV myself.

see my post in the thread entited Ideas_____

I hate kiddies like that , I have to keep re-cleaning my bike cus they leave their marks all over me bike.

EDITED for legal purposes

I tend to clean my bike while its sat next to my drains be very careful since I clean my drains alot with causdic soda, and Lye is an awful substance , its what drain cleaners contain lots of it

read all about it here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium_hydroxide

Be 'careful' when cleaning your drains you may accidentally get lye on your bike and suffer chemical burns of a serious and permanant nature.

capicium powder CS gas spray , same effect less damage but CS gas is for cops only, and you may oneday forget and go to the toilet without washing your hands FIRST, super super hot chilli sauce say Blair's will also work, I accidentally forgot to wash my hands first once and went to have a whizz , the screams were blood curdling. and is NON HARMFUL

this is much less plausible however.

Don't fotget you need signs to say you have CCTV in clear view otherwise it'll never stand up in court.

You want a proper gas-powered air rifle with a decent scope and laser dot.
Next time he comes up to your bike, just aim at his chest. He'll see the laser dot and bolt.

And if he doesn't, you can shoot him between the eyes! Very Happy
Everybody wins.

You might want to zero those sights properly first...

I must say a big hunting bow, or a shotgun would scare me sh-tless... but on the other hand, is it possible that you could cover your bike in some kind of stain that will rub off the paintwork but not his hands? proof and then you get some satisfaction. Also a bottle lying near to his running away route labelled 'stain remover' containing Conc NH4 might be a fun game... hypothetically speaking...

Get a big ass baseball bat and a huge dog, then run after the fucker when he comes near.

I dont know what is wrong with kids now adays, i swear i was never that bad. I never even though of stealing or damaging peoples property. Id talk to the mother, if she doesnt seem bothered or starts getting abusive. Shower her the CCTV footageif that fails. Ring your insurance company and show them the CCTV im not to sure but they must be able to do something.

I'm actually thinking more along the lines of getting him to piss or shit himself, only as a very last resort would I physically hurt him as he is only a young child. I'll probably end up dangling him by his ankles from the third floor balcony. The mother couldnt give a toss even when I tried to show her the cctv, so as a way of saying thanks for her disinterest a box of live crickets will emptied through her letter box.

Apply to the council for an ASBO? Sounds like you're collecting plenty of evidence.

You can't justifiably whinge about the system not working unless you at least try it.

The keywords they are looking for in your application are Fear, alarm or distress.

The other option (maybe) is to get to know the kids in your area. If you're working on your bike and they're around then chat to them. All kids love bikes. Give them a nod as you're riding past. Get a reputation for being "the sound bloke with the GSXR" and they'll police themselves.

This is a serious problem, the kids around here are little bastards too, and are always fucking with the bikes parked outside.
Filled the ZX6R pipe up with sand with rocks in which was a great trick.
You can't fucking do anything about it.
They can stand there and shout any abuse they want at you, and you can't say anything back for 2 reasons, they will cry to the police about you being abusive, and you'll end up with more damage to your bike.

It's fucked up...

Agreed. I fix their minimotos for them on occasion. Best insurance there is.

I am but I work in the private sector so dont have the direct access that someone working for the council would have.

The other kids arent a problem they know not to do anything infact i get on pretty well with them, its just this one kid who's got some kind of death wish. But youve given me an idea about them policing themselves Thumbs Up
