Went to get bearings today... Only to find out that pretty much every bearing place in the Northwest is fucking closed!

I'm going mental, 3 weeks without a bike now and I was going to get my MOT today! :'(

Erm yeah, sorry, we weren't much help today were we? Embarassed You caught us in the middle of a ride, had just stopped to take some photos of the ZXs for Itchy when I read your text......

Still need to know what size bearings and exactly what bit of the bike they are for. May be some in the shed, may be able to recommend somewhere, may be able to pick some up for you (John doesn't work Mondays so is available for shopping!)

The top diagram:

https://cgi.stanford.edu/~sanjayd/gs500/Main/SuspensionLinkage

#2 = 20x27x26 . #3 (2 of) = 17x24x25 . #4 = 17x24x26.

Not sure how accurate they are, but i've got the old ones on my desk!

He says Bearing Services should be able to sort you out but you are probably looking at about £10 each and it will be a bitch of a job to get the old ones out.

Also says what are the pins like (parts 8 & 5)? If they are scored you are wasting your time putting new bearings in without replacing them, in fact you might be better just getting a new arm with the bearings already in if you can.

Fucking shit cock!

I got the new part this morning, looked slightly different (It's grey rather than black and it's 1 piece moulded.

Laid them next to each other, holes seemed to match up so connected the new linkage back up and...

GOD FUCKING DAMMIT!

It won't pivot, I've tried the other end as well and still I can't quite line it up, does the shock need to be compressed or something?! or is it the wrong part?
