Just did it today on my NC30. It sounded pretty amazing, more of a 70's American V8 than a bike.

I know it doesn't do your bike any good but does it do it any harm???

Heres a vid by the way Very Happy

(Apologies for the monkey noises at the start, my mate was that amazed Razz)

Im sure most people have done it, but for short periods of time, it doesnt do it any harm, i wouldnt run it for more than 5 seconds imho, i think it sounds awful, better with a home made racefit Smile

Even with the shitty microphone it sounds really good! Wouldnt have thought it would cause any damage. Could possibly cause the engine to run lean but it will go straight back to normal once the can is back on.

Ever taken the complete exhaust off at the head? Laughing

My mate done this with his Z400 once. Shocked

Not recommended if you got a modern bike with a plastic front mudguard though. Laughing

You think it's loud until it's screaming at the redline tearing your ear drums to shreds. Laughing

I rode my GS500 from London up to the highlands of scotland, by about carlisle due to me smoking it up all the way flat out the downpipes actually snapped/melted off the headers, the sound was fucking incredible, like a cheapo harley but louder, cars fuckin scrambled for dear life as they musta thought hell had opened up behind them, i rode it round the highlands for the next few days like that while i waited for replacement downpipes to be shipped up, My uncle said he could hear me coming from something like 5-10 miles away Razz...

Killed what little power a GS500 had, crusing around at 60 was the bets it could muster, the sound though lol...
