Well ordered them 2 days ago and they arrived today! Very much impressed since they are only a budget pair to do me till August!

£165 i rate them deffinatly

I found it really hard to find a nice idea of how good Swift are for leathers, i found a few people who race in them etc and they gave me the thumps up Thumbs Up .

so here you go.

The leathers are pretty thick, i dont like the Swift down the legs that is just stitched on! as you will see from the pics, but the one on the ass is pretty well put on..

Very Happy all in all £165 well spent for one piece leathers.

Swift Leg ( Dont know seems abit cheaply stitched on notice the dog hair from my dog ! Sad )

They sound like a bargin for that price and they look well in those colours. Thumbs Up

I have a pair of Swift jeans, I've had them down the road a few times and they seem to do the job reasonably well. Very Happy

Some of the stitching is slightly dodgy tho.

Blue, black and white are smart, exactly the same colours as I have just brought but mine is 2 piece. Normally wear textiles, certainly noticed the difference in temperature, not as warm but will be great in the summer Mr. Green

They look cheap...

Dont mean to throw a damper on things but they realy do...

I mean, i know they are cheap - but they definately look it.

Personally i would have saved up another 150 coins and bought a set of teknic leathers... Now they are top knotch leathers. They realy are the business and cost you pennies...

Still - too late now eh Laughing

Spending that extra £150 isn't exactly going to offer you anymore protection than the cheapy ones. Although if you're a tart... Razz

A lot of the time you're just paying for the name. There's plenty of stories about expensive dainese/alpinestars leathers splitting in a crash and cheaper ones holding up just as well.

Im not talking about Dainese or Alpinestars am i? And you would pay a darn site more than £150 extra for a set of them.

How about, you dont comment on things you dont understand? At least not in that fashion.

You want a good value 1pc Suit? £299 will get you a Tekinic race suit. Knox armour as standard throughout the suit, TASC system - 5 seams of stitching across all major seams - meaning you have 5 stitches to go through before the suit will split - compared to one or two maximum from other manufacturers. Solid Japan zips that wont break. Crosshatching seams across the legs, so that the contact patch of your slide is never on the full seam at once.

I could continue.

Now tell me something like that isnt going to be any better than a "Cheapy" set - especially considering this suit is extremely affordable itself...

Thumbs Up Exactly Thumbs Up

And just out of curiosity - how was my above post redundant? Laughing

As far as im concerned that post was informative to a point and was directly related to the original post and the topic in hand.

I felt i showed that leathers do not have to be expensive to be the best, and that you dont have to skimp on quality, protection and security measures to get a "cheaper" set of leathers.

I use the term "Cheaper" in quote marks, because the term "Cheaper" can suggest inferior quality - I was using it to mean its correct useage which is, less cash Laughing

I've been interested in getting a Swift Viper two piece suit since the Joe Rocket GPX two piece I want is no longer made and hard to find at a good price.

What's the Swift Viper's fit like?

Edit: Another question: What are the armour placements? My Frank Thomas Strike two piece has got back, shoulder, hip and knee slots, and I think elbow.
