But the question is, is Rossi gonna put them in their place on raceday?

For all you true bikers. What would you rate the Istanbul track out of 10?

About 3.

It's basically a Nascar circuit!

I mean, where are the technical sections people!?!?

Thank you Oh-so very much. I know it's hardly life or death, but I've been trying valiantly to avoid finding out the results of the GP so I can enjoy watching them when I get home tonight, and you go and post a topic which leaves nothing to the imagination. Please title your thread "MotoGP spoilers" next time please.

Cheers Sad

It's a brilliant track, easily a 10 and has the best corner in the entire championship. I mean a 160 mph right hander fer chrissake, that's how you tell the men from the boys.

The thread title was about practice day, not the race. Confused

Smile this post was made 2 days before the race so unless 'Mark83' has psychic powers he wouldn't have been able to spoil the race for you.

Istanbul i would rate at about an 8. It's one of the better new tracks. China is pretty crappy as is Qatar.IMO

That's two now for young Stoner now. Shame about Edwards and Pedrosa, but then it meant Rossi got more points out of it. I think Elias is becoming the one to watch, he seems to be doing so much better every season.

Elias's riding is awesome to watch, they were likening him to a Nori Haga of MotoGP.
I'm not sure if he'll ever be a consistent race winner as his so unorthodox but his just breathtaking to watch wherever he is.

It was probably the best MotoGP race that I've ever seen, the race for 3rd place was spectacular. Really good to see Hopkins in there too.

I know that bumping in the corners is quite common these days, but I thought Elias bumping Rossi off the racing line before a corner was a bit "over enthusiastic". I'm surprised he didn't get his wrist slapped for it.

Rossi did it to Hopkins just before, so Elias doing it should be fine too. Saying that, I wish Rossi hadn't had a shagged tyre, would have been a much better race watching him try to catch Stoner. I can see it being Bridgestone only in 2008 if Michelin don't pull their finger out Middle Finger .

I saw Rossi and others touching in the corners and that is what I mentioned as being common nowadays. It makes good viewing, but what I found a bit much took place on the straight before the corner. Rossi was travelling in a straight line preparing to lean into the corner when Elias suddenly changed direction and bumped Rossi, knocking him off the line and into the marbles.

Totally agree. Shoulder to shoulder is one thing. But Elias acted like a complete wanker.

What makes Rossi such a champ is his modesty and true sportsmanship. In MotoGP we're lucky enough to have a true outclass but, unlike Schumacher in F1, a true gentleman all the same.

I really don't think the pass was that bad, Elias ran up the inside like he'd tried to do on the last few laps. He overshot it a little bit Rossi didn't want him to get through but didn't really have a lot of choice.
Elias didn't even run Rossi out to the edge of the track Rossi ran it out on his own.

1:45sec if anybody wants to see it again.

Hard and bit clumbsy maybe but not really a wanker.

As for Rossi being a modest gentleman, well he doesn't really have that much to complain about.
He gets 90% of the fans cheering for him at every race, The TV camera's are almost fixed on him even if his not running anywhere near the front.
His main rivals are instantly made the bad guys, Biaggi, gibernau, Hayden, Pedrosa, all unpopular apart from in there own countries. If they moan about Rossi he turns it into a joke and makes them look stupid and like bad losers.
When Rossi's tyre goes off its bad luck, when anybody elses tyre goes off they get criticised for using it up to quickly.

Rossi is amazing but the whole Rossi-mania is getting a bit much, MotoGp is more the one rider.

Just my opinion like Wink
