Hopoffbaby, look in the yellow pages for a plastic welder, or go to your loacl friendly bike shop (ie not Motorcycle Shity) and ask them to recoomend a plastic welder. A small 1 inch break should cost next to nothing to put right.

Has a piece of the fairing actually broken off?....if so, do you still have the bits?

...you can buy various plastic repair kits from most decent bike shops, or mail order...I've got some on order at the moment to fix/fabricate a little clip on the fairing.

also where can i find someone that can mix me a matching colour paint?

The repair should be un-noticable (it is on my tank), a local garage can tell you where to get the respray. But if it's only £100 for a new piece it might turn out cheeper.

Its a bit of a treck for you but I can highly recommend Arnolds Fairings in Kingswinford.....they did a great job for our wise man himself...Keith.

I can do the work for you but I am near Wigan so I suggest you pop over to Halfords, pay £25 for a plastic repair kit and £15 for some colour match paint and have a go yourself.

If you aren't confident in spraying - don't try because it isn't easy though!

If unsure, do the repair yourself (it's really easy) and ANY car repair/respray place will do a cheap spray over.

Araldite seems to be working for me! Bit of a bodge job, but it will do for now..............If only this curse didnt have such an effect.

Araldited the smashed bits, buying a new screen, now I just have to find a closely matched paint can.

Where can you get a cheap colour match from then????/ I dont mind spraying it my self, i did the reapair ok. Dont bother buying the £25 repair kit, they do a perfectly good one for £6.
