Trying to decide between the Autocom, Starcom and the Intaride intercoms. Don't much care about music or phone when I'm riding, but I would like clear comms with pillion, and if possible, a bluetooth module to link to my Tomtom Rider to receive instructions. Could always modify the tomtom bluetooth receiver if that's the deal breaker. But what do people think about the relative quality/effectiveness of the different intercoms?

Honda Pan ST1100, flip-front helmet, planning a trip to Belgium & the Netherlands this summer and want to talk to the wife, to make sure she hasn't fallen asleep, like she did last year driving down the M1!

I've only ever had the autocom and it does what I want when I want it to. it is there without being there if you know what I mean.

Cabling the 'Nut Bucket' is a bit of a bore though. (Helmet dependent.)
Then coupling up to the bike etc.

Two maplins radios are cool and cheep (if it's for the birds).

I have Autocom works great when plumbed in correctly tho.

The Interphone system is claimed waterproof and carries a 12 month (UPDATE: recently upgraded to 2 year) warranty. They also have a claimed 7 hour talk time once the batteries are fully charged and a claimed (and phenomenal) 700 hours of standby per battery charge. I assume that "standby" means that the intercoms are turned on but not being used.

did you not read the review Twisted Evil
