I'm hopefully doing my test this summer (yay) so I'm half looking for a 33bhp bike now. I've seen some people on this forum saying that they are gettin 500s and 600s when they pass their test.

Are they doing DAS? Or can you restrict big bikes to 33bhp? I'd quite like to get a restricted 400, possibly a bandit or CB, but does it cost more to restrict a bike?

And I'm assuming insurance will more on a bigger bike, even if its restricted to the same power?!

Cheers Thumbs Up

You can restrict any bike to 33bhp, its just that bigger engines tend to run less well with a restriction kit in.

It will cost you a bit to get a bike restricted, I don't know how much but I'm sure a garage near you could tell you?

The insurance might be cheaper on a bigger engine, it really depends on the bike.
