Stoner's surprising more than a few people this year in MotoGP. I had him down for one win this season... shows what I know!

Anyway, report is online here.

I didn't really see the problem with Elias's passes, Rossi made a similar move on Hopkins, his also made countless hard moves on people like Biaggi and Gibernau in the past.

It wasn't long ago that Pedrosa was complaining about Rossi's dangerous riding and then everybody said he was boring and a miserable midget...

Stoner did well but I wonder if he'd have still one if he was on a Honda/Yamaha? I doubt it.

Apart from the fact that he overshot the apex and took Rossi to the edge of the track with him.

but thats racing, look at "that last lap" rossi made Gibernau stand up just the same. when Rossi run wide when he was leading he just seamt to go backwards. I mean, Hoffer passed Rossi???!!! 4 yrs ago rossi would have won even if he'd lost a wheel!!!!

Indeed - Gibernau would have been justified in complaining about that too.

Don't forget, Rossi's not a God! Laughing If your tyre's shagged, it's shagged. Jonathan Rea didn't even finish the first race of BSB last weekend because he killed the tyre and had to retire.

jonny rea is a quality rider. (going off topic) I think dropping Harris from the factory team was a mistake. He's fast as Fook when he's on form just seems to fall off a bit too much.

Yeah surely overshooting an apex is just a racing incident, I can understand being annoyed if somebody ran you across the track on a trackday, but in a GP riding on the very limit his got to expect that things are going to go wrong.
Otherwise they'd all just be riding round in a line waiting for Stoner and Capirossi to pass them when its perfectly safe on the straight.

I like Rossi but his made plenty of errors in the past aswell.

He does like to moan aswell, his got an entier book just moaning about Biaggi,Honda,Italian fans and the press.

Maybe his just bitter that Elias could have cost him the title last year, or maybe I'm just a bit of a Biaggi fan and think that Rossi's a lanky mop head Mr. Green

The problem (for Harris) was that Rea was outperforming him on the semi-factory Honda, and finished above him in the Championship, at just 19 years old. Honda had to decide whether to promote Rea to the full factory team or risk losing him. At the moment it seems to be paying off and bringing in Camier on the semi-factory bike seems to have been a master-stroke.

Doesn't mean you wouldn't vent your frustrations though. Would you rather they all stayed light lipped and never said anything?

Maybe he was remembering Elias dumping him in the gravel at Jerez last year...

I'm sure he remembers it well, but I bet his managed to ease the memory of his bodged overtaking move in Motegi 05, when he sent Melandri to hospital and ended both there races.
I also remeber Melandri saying that him and Rossi have a good relationship and that these things happen in racing.

I've highlighted the important bit. Elias went on to finsh fourth in the race at Jerez and Rossi fourteenth (I think) after pulling himself out of the gravel... Wink

I feel really sorry for Hayden - did anyone else hear the post-race interview on Eurosport?

He sounded so depressed, but he rode really well if there are problems with that bike. The commentators said that according to the telemetry he is braking later than everyone else, and harder on the throttle but the bike just isn't working.

Sad to see someone who is obviously very talented suffering at the back of the pack

Pedrosa said in an interview that his going to miss testing today but should be fine for China.

I think the fact that Hayden is braking later and accelerating harder then everybody else is probably why his bikes not working, everybody else is taking differant lines and carrying more corner speed, he needs to ditch his 990 riding style and adopt a new one for the 800.

He wasn't far off the pace of the front runners in Turkey, his obviously a very talented rider, I'm sure he will come good again. He does seem very down though which probably isn't helping things.

There's no doubting that Hayden's talented, I just wonder whether he has the ability to ride around problems that sets the 'great' riders apart from the 'good' ones.

That was a great race, thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd been losing faith in GP's for a while to be honest and have much more enjoyed watching BSB and WSB but that reminded me why I got into GP's.

Was gutted that Hopper missed out on the podium but he'll get on there this season I'm sure.

Elias was hugely entertaining as always!
Rossi comlaining about him is interesting, as has been said, some of his passes on Sete and Max in the past were just as hard and he was very quick to take the piss at their whinging.

Looking forward to China!

And is anyone of to Silverstone BSB at the weekend?

Yep Thumbs Up Kind of hoping that someone (anyone!) sticks it to Lavilla, otherwise he'll wrap up the title by the halfway point!

I had a real good feeling for walker, pre season, but he's done nothing! Shame cos he's a top bloke. I like watching Lavilla, he's so so smooth but as you say, the championship will be won halfway through the season so here's to someone giving him a run (I'm looking at kiyo)
