Just lost the front end on my bike Sad . Not even sure how it happened, I was just riding along through the town centre (Harrogate), at 30mph or there abouts (police behind me so I was watching my speed). Lights ahead turned amber so I pulled the brake to stop and the bike just slipped out from under me. The only thing I can think of is that I braked too hard and the road was slippy, but it's nothing I haven't ever done before in similar circumstances. The policeman even said "you weren't even going that fast, I don't understand". He was very helpful and asked if I wanted to go to A&E etc, but I said I was fine so he followed me home to make sure I got back ok.

Damage:

- Left fairing badly cracked around indicator and ground down a bit
- Left indicator hanging off
- Left exhaust has massive gouge down it
- Left wing mirror bent/broken
- Helmet visor snapped off

If it wasn't for the fairing it wouldn't be so bad (I could live with the exhaust) but that's gonna cost me a fair whack. Bike was toally mint before this Crying or Very sad .

Damage to me, left knee grazed quite bad. Ruined my best pair of jeans (my own fault). Just the other day I was saying I need to get some leathers Rolling Eyes . Everything else fine as far as I know, was wearing all protective gear except my legs.

Will try get pics tomorrow.

Yes, I'm TPFT so eBay it is probably, but there's none in the right colour on there and the only one that is on there is slightly cracked on the bottom anyway. Yes the police officer was very good to me.

Thankfully no broken bones, but my broken GPZ Sad .

Hopefully you will find all the bits you need on ebay. Good luck with it. Its a shame when a bike gets scratched up.

At least you're ok mate. I can testify that the bike truly was mint - 'tis a real shame Sad

Bit of tape on the fairing until something turns up on the bay, in the meantime it can be a rat bike Very Happy
