Buy her loads of cream cakes and burgers in no time she'll have a big arse and won't need seat padding, the extra weight will slow you down a bit too and it'll fell like riding a goldwing. Until she gets off Twisted Evil .

Show her that goldwing video someone posted earlier (the peg scraping one). It might change her mind about sitting on the back of one.

The only reason I could say not to get a GL would be the price. But other than that they're pretty damn good. Dont let my dad know i said that though.

I don't see the problem everyone has with Goldwings...

Chances are if you've got the money for a Goldwing you can afford another bike, I imagine it'd be ace just for cruising/mile munching/pillions. Not everyone wants to be white knuckled at 14,000 rpm all the time. :>

I dont mind them - I wouldnt ever have one though. I havent ridden one, but they just seem too big - I'd imagine if you got snarled up in a motorway tailback you'd just have to sit in traffic, whereas a 'normal' tourer, such as a Pan European would still be able to filter.

Don't know, I think you have to take a different attitude to them, the point is they're not a pan euro... Least you're not dying in a big glass bin like the rest of the poor bastards!

sorry dude , im not sure how you can compare those two bikes ?
Ditch the girl or tell her to walk , either way you should be making the decision. I ride an 07 R6 , not the most comfortable bike in the world , and she deals with it , or drives. Take off the skirt and stand up Laughing .

Hired a goldwing 2 years ago for my mum's birthday as she'd always wanted a go on one. Surprisingly agile when you're moving, obscenely comfy for both rider and pillion (the gf reckoned she could easily fall asleep on the back) but you'd have to be built like Atlas in order to manoeuvre it at slow speed and around town.
