Hi All.

The low oil indicator has finally lit up on my RS125 so it's finally time to get some more oil.
Is it ok to just top it up with the new oil? I don't know what brand of oil it has in it already except it is green in colour.
Also, what do i look for when buying new oil , ie the type, 2T, 4W etc? I havent a clue.
Which is the brand that makes TTS oil as this is meant to be good stuff?

Regards

You need 2T, aka 2 stroke. Look for fully sinthetic.

Castrol make TTS, should cost around £10 a litre.

Like dan says it shouldnt be a problem mixing that little bit of oil thats left with the new stuff so long as its not something you do all the time!

Maybe you could post some of that oil over here that dan Wink that would be very kind! Do you not pay VAT or something silly?

I got a good deal from the NEC bike show in birmingham... I saved quite a bit by buying a ton of oil from there! its lasted almost a year.

Isn't your RS due a service now then?...the first service (for a brand new bike) usually deals with topping up the oil etc...

...you also need to be sure whether your current oil is semi-synth, or fully-synth...
