Well, appeal them. There will be a mechanism for doing so but you need to do it right, get it well worded with an appropriate argument and the fine will be dropped.

A few people on here are something of a 'barrackroom lawyer' when it comes to parking offences. A description of the area and some photos would be helpful. Pay particular attention to any road markings and signage, particularly any breaks or defects in the road markings and how the 'end' of any yellow lines is marked.

Also where you were parked with regard to any buildings and if on the pavement, any 'patterns' of paving slabs that might indicate a change of ground ownership. Where in the country did you get it (Greater London has its own special rules)?

Also pay close attention to what they actually wrote on the ticket. Did they get the registration and colour correct? What parking offence (exactly as written on the ticket) have they done you for because there are several.

HAHAHA should move to preston. I asked a traffic warden if i was going to get a ticket parking where i was, and he said no. Traffic wardens dont enforce parking laws on bikers. The only people who can do something about where you park are the police, and thats if you park across a road or something retarded.

Preston councill doing something right for once Thumbs Up
