Welded frame

right, wanted to ask: If a frame on a bike has been welded up, and an MOT place(mainly does cars) wasn't sure about it, so wouldn't MOT it, what else can be done? what if other garages refuse it would there be any way to get it legally through an MOT? this is not my bike

Should be no problem MOTing it if the quality of the repair is acceptable by the MOT tester.

What model of bike? Alloy or steel frame?

Welding a bike is perfectly acceptable - as long as it has good penetration and doesn't look like pigeon $hit.

What damage did it have to need a welded repair?

general rust and scroats winding it around local area when it was nicked about 1 month ago not being too nice on their chosen terrain.
