On the way to the Bradford Arms with keith last night he decided to take me down some back roads. He neglegted to tell me just how tight the bends were.
Anywho, he buggered off in the distance, while I lagged behind, due to a complete lack of road knowledge and a front end that I have almost no confidence in. So I was taking it quite easy anyway, still ran wide on a left hander (oops Embarassed ) but carried on.
Then it happened. Another left hander, <90 degrees. I was only goin slow, probably 20mph, but knew as soon as I tipped in that It wasnt going to be pretty so I pcked it straight back up to find I was heading for a gate.
Brakes on, me onto a grassy/dirty path thing with images of me limping home and typing the next post in the crash thread.
Luckily, I managed to stop in time and upright. I turned to carry on and saw a cow giving me a very funny look from the field accoss the road.

Never mind, alls well that ends well I suppose.
Mebbe next time Confused

on my bike its twin shocks (old skool) so i just borrowed a c spanner off my mechanic and tightened the bottom nut up 2 clicks. as for the NSR monoshock there should be a big nut at the bottom of it, but you need a C spanner to tighten it. and its probably a bitch to get to.

Hi

What he didnt mention is that is the road on which I wrecked the engine in the car. Came round a corner, saw a puddle and thought "it hasnt been raining that hard, it wont be that deep", so kept going.

Scatch one engine

It is my normal route to work

All the best

Nah, on the earlier models the shock is non adjustable.
Hit a pudel in the mini and the engine cut out. Bit worried bout that but its because its got some level sensor that just needs resseting.

Hi

Problem for me was the engine sucked water in. Bent (at least) one con rod, and blew one of the head gaskets (it was a flat 4 engine), not just leaking but the gasket was literally sticking out the side of the engine

All th ebest

Hi

The puddle was about 30cm deep in the middle of the road, and deeper at the edges. Yes, it hydrauliced the engine. There was no hole in the road, just a 50'+ puddle

All the best
