With 'Bella's recent experience of loss and recovery , how exactly are we supposed to avoid
buying parts from bikes that are stolen? , I've been thinking of CBR mods and have scoured
ebay from the convience of my office seat.
BUt how do we sort of avoid buying stolen parts (aside from not going to DK?). since most things
are bought via post and thus you can't exactly look at the before hand,
my NTV has been easier to buy parts for almost everybody who's sold me parts has a V5C of
the bike it came off and the upgraded bike it came off thus fairly trustable or have come from fairly
reputable breakers or folksI know and trust, is there something online that allows us to check
datatags/alpha dot for parts that have been stolen? .
which in itself is iffy cus many parts have come off the NTV and my NTV surprisingly has alpha
dots all over it so does the CBR (albeit not in my name).
You know the usual thing , if nobody buys such parts there will be no demand and thus
less bike thefts.
