 |
|
Howdo,
Bit of a dilemma with a money transfer!
Last week my current account received a CHAPS credit for £415 that I wasn't expecting. I spoke to the bank who later told me it "looks like" it orginated from my payroll department. I've since spoken to payroll who have no knowledge of any transfer and even went as far as saying they weren't capable of doing a CHAPS transfer.
So what do I do? I guess I can't spend it lol. I've not yet gone back to my bank to tell them it's not my payroll dept, however I've moved it into an ISA for the time being. Do I just sit on it and if so how long for? are they likely to come back and take it without warning?
Any advice welcome |

did you pay too much tax last year? ,
sit on it for a while , I think the only people who really have powers to just TAKE it from your account are HMRC , ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. I don't think I've paid too much Tax, and if I did surely I'd receive a letter from HMRC detailing it. A colleague recently got a tax refund and it came in the form of a cheque so I can't see them paying it direct to my account. Is it worth saying to the bank that it's not come from my payroll dept or shall I just keep shut |

where's it come from, how the feck d'we know?
iirc, if it was wrongly put in there, the originator has up to 6 month to take it back, but don't quote me on it. ____________________ Roger wrote: Women don't get damp for clingy puppies. Get some better happy pills, hit the gym & buy a medallion the size of a dinner plate. Job done |
