Googling suggests that it may be a virus/spyware that is stopping the install. Probably caused by not installing SP2 sooner as it has allot of security fixes included. Have you done a virus and spyware scan?

We get similar when trying to install SP2 on our family PC. The stupid thing is, it's just been formatted, so it's like a brand new PC as far as files go, yet it stil won't let us install SP2.

highly recommend the Firefox Dictionary addon, and the Fasterfox addon Thumbs Up

i'll never go back to IE, no matter how much they improve it

I'm afraid that my dad still refuses to use Firefox, even though I've explained the benefits! (though I NEVER use IE)

i'm sure theres a skin/patch for firefox that looks exactly like IE

maybe that would make him use it Laughing
