Well, i wasnt going to make a post out of it, but its getting on my nerves and i need a rant.

Ive seen a guy about before, looks a little slow, gormless face ect, but never hurts anyone, one time in my younger years i saw him in mcdonalds were a load of kids were throwing things at him, i went over and gave them a mouthful, and they stopped.

Today i was in the car (dad had gone to pay for fuel) when i see this guy on a scoot, fueling up, anyway, in short the fuel starts to overflow out of the fuel tank and spill everywere, he didnt notice till i jumped out of the car to let him know and help him, got him some towels to wipe down his ped, told him that it could take the paint off, and he thanked me.
At this moment a guy comes out, shouting his head off, complaining about the fuel all over the floor, the poor guy stood there, not knowing what to say, looked like he was going to cry.
So i stepped in and had a slanging match in the middle of the forecourt about how the pump should shut itself off in the event of it overflowing, the tesco monkey didnt seem to understand and started throwing sand all over the guys bike and on the floor..

I was fuming at this point, and got quite threatening and made the attendant clean the sand from this guys ped and appoligise.

The guy payed, thanked me, said he gets it all the time, and went on his way (very slow and unstable i might add) not sure how he got a licence, but thats not the point.

but i just hate it when people laugh at people like that, he didnt do any harm, and it wasnt all his fault.

my dad stood there with me and we got in the car and drove off.
Really could of punched the snot nose little fucker.

last time im fueling up at tesco anyway.

Complain about the attendants attitude on the guys behalf. The guy you helped is obviously trying to get on with his life despite any issues he may have. It is about time people stuck up for those less fortunate than ourselves. Well done mate. Thumbs Up

I really despise people who pick on people who have difficulties.
You did good, and I would of done the same - Ive gotten into trouble with people, taking the piss out of my disabled niece - absolutely no need for it.

Picking on slow/vulnerable people is something that really pisses me off - well done for sorting it out in the short term, but make sure you complain to the management on the guy's behalf. Make sure you mention plenty of things along the lines of disability and discrimination, and demand to know what steps they will be taking to ensure it doesn't happen again.

Congratulations for not ripping the pump-monkey's head off - the spurting blood takes ages to wash out of your clothes.

my other half got a ruptured voicebox in a car accident, on top of that he was trachied for six weeks, his voice is fucked now and people assume hes slow, he could have an op to try and remove some of the scar tissue but risks being left permenantly mute so he wont have it, its really gone against him when applying for jobs etc.

he has become very quiet and reluctant to speak because of it and some people have sopken to me when ive been with him , my usual response has been ask him yourself hes not fucking deaf Evil or Very Mad

I hate to see people taking advantage of others who are quiet/low confidence types. I'm quite often sticking up for these people in arguements.

Good on you for what you did Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

when i used to go into the souks in jeddah there was a young man who used to sit on a bench just watching people he was a local and we never paid him much attention until one day we saw a group of other teenagers obviously ridiculing him in arabic, i went over and it was apparent there was something wrong with him , however i was humbled when he beckoned me and a friend over and thanked us in english for having a go at the idiots. It was then i realised something quite profound, here was a young man who obviously had been educated well so i sat down on the bench with him and mentioned id seen him a lot, turns out he was a university graduate whod been in a horrific car crash and suffered dreadful head injuries on top of all the other ones he sustained and it had ruined his life, so he used to sit and just watch other people getting on with their lives, there was no bitterness in him at all just sadness that he would never be able to fulfill the dreams he had for his life due to others ignorance, but from that day on whenever we saw him wed spend a while chatting about all sorts of stuff really, he was lucky i suppose as he came from a wealthy family and didnt have to worry about not having a roof over his head etc, Id like to think everything turned out okay for him though.

thanks you lot, i was a little bit worried about them contacting the police for being aggressive towards staff, but im sure i would of been able to make them see my side of it.

I bet if i was on my bike, it would of been in the local paper about aggression from a local biker or somthing, the guy looked like one of those people that puts everyone else down to make him look better, looking around the forecoart laughing ect.
Like to put him down tbh.

Can still see they guys face, looked like he wanted to cry, wich i think really got my angry, all over abit of spilt petrol.

Tesco Middle Finger Thumbs Down

I had a similar (sort of) experience in Tescos last night. I was at a self serve machine. I scan me bits and go to put my money in, now someone has put a 'every little helps' sticker of the coin insert thing. So does this mean its broken? or has some wise guy tried to be funny?
Well I felt lucky and stuck my £2 coin in.... uh oh, nothing happens. So it was broken after all.
I pressed the assistance button and look around for someone.
Well along she comes and she doesnt look happy Shocked Laughing !

Her: ''Have you been putting money in that machine?!''

Me: ''err well, yeah I thou...

Her: ''IT SAYS NO COINS!''

Me: ''well actually it says 'every little helps' and infact it it doesnt even say that, it says 'every litt' ''.

Her: ''No, look over there! (she points a few feet away to a sign about knee height which I obviously didnt see)''

At this point Im thinking 'should I humour this simple being? or give her a lecture about her poor customer service skills?'

I went for the humour route and mirrored her 'attitude'

Me: ''OH WELL I AM VERY VERY... SORRY!!! YEAH REALLY I AM!''

Her: ''Yeah well I need to go over there and sort all this out now (she hands over my £2 coin)

Me: ''no it's ok I'll just use the next one along''

Her: ''NO! you come with me - you cant use that one''.

It all got sorted out in the end and she started being nice to me (I'm quite a charmer, couldnt stay mad at me for long Wink ) but I wished I had given her a '' Nuh uh uuh!... I am a customer! you cant talk to me like that!'' her face would have been a prize, damn hindsight! Evil or Very Mad

The problem seems to be that Tesco employs the unemployable (so the government gets off their back about monopolising), then then these glorified chavs stay there a few years and end up as managers.

It's good that there are still people out there who are willing to stick up for others. There aren't enough people willing to put themselves out there.

Reminds me what happened in my Tesco yesterday doing the weekly shop, one of the checkout girls had a problem and called a supervisor.

The supervisor came over to the checkout girl and when the girl said what the problem was she came out with the words for fucks sakes and stormed off.

Was quite shocked at that, I'm in customer service, and have been since I left school and would never have an outburst infront of customers like that!

Well done dude, if the guy on the ped had been shouting and ranting his mouth off he would of got more respect. But the quiet ones always tend to get hammered.
