what should i do that my top speed would be around 110mph? right now my nsr top speed is only 75mph!! there are no restrictors in the exhaust or intake housing. i just changed piston and piston rings, cilinder. what else should i do. by the way, nsr -s year is 1991. and what combination of sprockets do you recommend?

Erm... why you say he should buy a '99 NSR... methinks the engines are the same... just different cosmetics... and btw the nsr has been unchanged from its current design since '94.

Maybe your bike is an import, restricted somewhere else, maybe CDI unit???

In Germany is the typical rear sprocket 35 and front 14. Perhaps you should test that

Hi

If the bike is a 91 model import then it is unlikely to have been restricted when new (Italian market bikes certainly werent restricted at that time). My guess would be that the power valve isnt opening, as 75mph sounds rather too close to the speed at which it would open in top gear. However, that is just a guess and it could easily be loads of other things

All the best

Keith
