I'm not quite sure where to put this really?

Anyway, I was off work today and bored so I jumped on my bike and took a trip down to the Falkland Islands Memorial church at Pangbourne College, Oxfordshire. Even although set inside the grounds of a busy boarding school, I was surprised how peaceful it all was.

I took some pictures with my mobile phone so please excuse the quality.

A very moving tribute that seems to put everything in perspective. Royal Marine Cpl Kenneth Evans, killed In Action on the 27th May 1982 with seven of his comrades, when the shore facilities in San Carlos bridgehead were attacked for the first time by the Argentine Air Force.

Finally, the number of servicemen killed in the war. 255 in 74 days.

Visitors are encouraged to bring along stones to add to the stone cairn in memory of those who gave their lives. Near or far, if you do visit, please pop a stone in your jacket/tank bag/rucksack.
