Chaps,
I have an '03 plate Honda NSR 125. It's been fully de-restricted & was looking to change the sprockets to add to the acceleration (not too bothered about the top speed). I'm a fairly light guy (if that makes a difference).
I'd appreciate advice on which number of teeth for front/back sprockets to acheive this, and any good online sites to buy them from,
cheers! Smile

Don't know best setup - Will there be one ?

I'd love to have blistering acceleration but i'd never want to lose top end as consequence.... - I'm greedy.

Shops:

LM Spares

JT's Motorcycles

Wemoto

Don't spend more than £50 on a whole set as anymore and it's unnecessary for a 125.

£15 on rear sprocket
£5 -£8 on front
around £30 on chain.

I know all 3 do sets for the 125 as i have a saved list of shops for the bits for them. Been looking everywhere recently.

Smile

Hello,

just a point I would like to make, do not go the whole hog all at once, it is possibly better to take a tooth off the front to start with, then adjust the rear if you feel the need. What will happen as you adjust gradually is it will give you the chance to experience the bike as it changes, and also it will spread the cost. What will happen is a real fun change in acceleration, however you will notice a difference in revs at cruise speeds, and a difference in fuel consumption. There is just no way you could adjust the gearing, then be sensible with the throttle......trust me!

Also, my ESP is working overtime, and I reckon you need to replace your chain, soonish, possibly with a 520 DID hd or similar. Or you could go the whole hog and buy an o ring.

Hope this helps. Very Happy Thumbs Up
