Ok im going to do my theory test in august then my practical god knows when. i am currently driving my nsr 125 de-restricted which i think is about 28 bhp (on L plates tut tut i know but like people say restrictors drop out) so after my test im restricted to 33 bhp for 2 years so can u guys tell me what restricted sports bike i can get. Something easy to take the restricors out Smile i really would like a 400 but could you tell me what is possible to have resticted.

Pretty much any bike can be restricted to 33bhp, but some like the restriction better than others. But if you expect them to drop out soon after, then what are you worried about? Confused Smile

i passed my test on friday and moved up from a restricted dt125 to a 33bhp Kawasaki GPZ500. i suppose it could look a bit sportier but it's a brilliant bike. Dont even have to change gear to overtake anymore Smile

I haven't given it a proper thrashing yet but i got 90mph on a short stretch in 4th gear...it has 6.

The bike cost me £1950 and then £535 TPFT for a 17 year old.
