I recently installed a radeon x800gto graphics card. and all my videos,pics etc have gone.but when i do a defragment all this space is still takin up.so there still in there somewere. but were?anyone shed some lite?

It is probably your graphics cards desktop view which stops it from being displayed. Explore the options of the graphics card

are the files stored on your desktop? If so, then they're probably no longer visible after the resolution got tweaked or the display settings were altered. If that's the case, then they should still be visible either through windows explorer/finder/konqueror or if you search for the specific files. Try right-click -> arrange icons or whathaveyou on the desktop and they'll probably pop right back.
