DOHC???

What does it stand for and what does it do????
My RF makes a noise, like a scrape/click at 8000rpm in all gears. Any ideas what this could be as it doesn't affect performance/speed etc.

double overhead cams
they allow for more intake and exhaust valves. More valves means that intake and exhaust gases can flow more freely because there are more openings for them to flow through. This increases the power of the engine
basically 2 cams per head
