I was round my parents house with the GF and my dad has a Honda 1000cc, he was tired so he went to bed, leaving me,my gf and my mum. So I decided to go for a ciggie on the way out my mum said can you put your dads bike away? Of course I did.

So I went to the bike stood besides it and the stand was on my side......I think you an see where this is going. went to put it upright to wheel it in and it went too far, toppled over, I could not keep it up ( the bike that is) and it hits the floor, cracking the side faring. Doh!

It took my an age to get it back on its wheels again, being a bloody big bike and all. So tomorrow I have the joy of going back round there and telling a man I broke his bike!

I feel great!

I dropped a mates from work bike when he was kind enough to give me a little spin on it. U-turns and sports bikes on slight inclines don't mix. No damage thankfully but he was in good spirits about it.

Is he bigger than you? If so take a plank of wood with a nail in the end, it might save your neck! Thumbs Up Laughing

You should have left a note on the bike saying it was blown over and you
took it upon your self to pick it up and bring it in.The good and nice lad
that you are.You might even get a thanks for it.
Sorry to make a joke of it but I would just offer to pay for the damage
and he did not bring it in so he will probable blame himself.

Paddy.

I dropped my husband's 2 month old Fazer.

Suprisingly he was ok about it but I felt awful.

Last Saturday I bounced his helmet down the drive and I feel really bad about that too.

It's a wonder that I'm still married...

Oooops Rolling Eyes I bet you feel awful.

Whilst getting my bike out one morning, mine and OH's VFR are parked very closely together, I was manoevering mine to get it over a lip in the entrance of the building, and it started to go over and the handle bar scuffed his tail piece. It did polish out though, but that was enough, to keep me well away from his bike in future.

If it's a little crack maybe he won't notice and you can get away with it? Razz
Just give him some fixing money as someone else said.
I've never damaged another bike luckily, though I have come close. My engine had cut out on a hill start and I rolled backwards into a guy I know's front tire Embarassed luckily only thing that was *hurt* was my L plate, snapped almost in half. Neutral

Sorry, but couldn't help laugh at that, made my day Thumbs Up

Joe, I have done that too, dad wasn't too happy but wasn't as bad as when my brother put his crosser on axle stands to work on it(in front of dads car) and it was blown onto the bonnet and grinded down the bonnet before coming to rest with the foot peg sat on the the front bumper. Mad
