I don't normally make posts asking for personal help, but i am really stuck with what to do at the moment.

Basically i left sixth form in January after getting the 1 exam i re-sat and have been working at a local shop since then just as temporary. I want to get an apprenticeship to start in August/September.

I have applied for quite a few but in the next couple of weeks i may be offered a position in a few of them.

The three main ones are an apprenticeship in modern engineering at the Port Of Felixstowe. A Craft Trainee Apprenticeship with Anglian water and another modern engineering one with British Energy. They are all big companies so they will all be good jobs, but i cant do them all. What i want to know is which one do you think will be best for me in the future? I have spoke to my parents etc and they have advised me but i just need more info lol.

They are all 3 year apprenticeships. The port one is a final salary of 25k a year + at the end of the 3 years (not sure on other things just yet). The Anglian Water one is 23k - 27k final salary but that may change in 3 years time. For that one though i have to live away for 8 months but that is all paid for. This one i know has a pension at the end, your own van, private health care as well. At the end of it you are a fully trained plumber, electrician and mechanical engineer. The British energy one i have no idea of the pay etc yet, i am going to call them tomorrow and ask loads of questions.

Anyway, any advice on what to do is appreciated Thumbs Up

From what you've written and from what I've heard Anglian Water are a pretty good company to work for.

Also, with the qualifications you end up with from A.W, there's nothing stopping you setting up your own company if things get a bit boring with them.

Really the best advice is go with your gut instinct Thumbs Up Karma

Anyway, from all the team building course things and interviews etc, Anglian Water have seemed the best. I will just accept any im given and hen make a final decision when it comes to it.
