Well, I didn't get much sleep last night!
Fecking bike alarm seems to have developed a fault. I noticed it back in Feb, but tbh, didn't cause much concern, as it seemed to go away again.
But now the fucker won't keep quiet!
Got it booked into John Weir in Perth tomorrow to diagnose the problem - they reckon it could be water/damp in the control unit and a bad ground wire or something.
They are listed as approved Datatool installers so hopefully they will cure it, otherwise I'm getting them to remove the alarm and sticking it on ebay
I would expect better from a £400 alarm system, wouldn't you?
Anyway, just thought I'd share that - anyone else had anything similar? (and how did you solve it?)

I remember mine (System 3) was very oversensitive, it would go off if a truck went past or something heavy was dropped on the floor. Once when it was parked at work, the beer delivery arrived and it went off continually as they were unloading the barrels, it must have annoyed the crap out of them.
Hope it has just somehow gotten more sensitive, as that will be a really cheap job. |
