There was an Ariel Club rally in Mid Wales this weekend, as the weather was not forecast to be good I chickened out.
11 o clock Friday night I got a phone call from my friend Jane.
" Where are you?"
" I am not coming cus it is going to be a bit wet."
" well if you do not get your arse down here you are going to be wearing a pink crash hat for the rest of the year."

I did, It was getting late yesterday when I set off and did not want to ride over the Welsh mountains on 6v lights. I took a nail in the back tyre and the "slime" I had used did not work so I had to get a lift off the RAC from Ludlow in Shropshire. Right pissed me off as my cheapo Aldi riding gear and very expensive gortex boots and gloves were keeping the rain out superbly and I was having a ball riding the Armstrong in the rain.

Was at the r&s this weekend and it was much the same, still a good larf and it stayed clear enough to have fireside ramblings long into the wee hours, hope to attend a couple of smaller rallys this year too

Like MrZ I was also attending the R+S this weekend, and was there on my sidecar outfit which I finished making about an hour before I left on the Friday evening
