The going rate would be what he is willing to accept, and what you are willing to pay, why would you want a moped?

Get a mighty Lifan, if you think you could handle it...

Oh aren't you cool!!!!!

I need it to get to work and that's it.

I don't have a notion what mopeds go for and thought somebody that does, MIGHT be sound enough to go without strokin their ego for 2 seconds.

Here, was it too much to expect that a Bike forum might have someone that know how much a 2002 moped would cost?

My 1st post may have been blunt but it wasn't intended to be rude.

We're not really a moped forum.
Have you looked on parkers.co.uk?

I'd offer him a couple of hundred quid. If he's not using it it might be no skin of his nose either way.

As to its true worth? Around £400ish. If its not been ran at all in the two years, I might leave it alone. Atleast get it checked out thoroughly.

I think Parkers have a price guide, theres another thread (fairly recent) that has some links on pricing websites.

You could try be introducing yourself first before you ask for valuations of obscure mopeds on a BIKE forum...

It wasent my intention to be rude either... The lifan is a running forum joke

As for my original comment, the moped has been sitting for 2 years, like i said make him an offer? whats the worst that happens? he spits in your face and refuses to allow you to make a higher offer?
